Indoor Organic Radishes: End of Week 4

Organic French Radishes
Completely unbelievable that it is already been twenty-one days since germination for these organic french radishes I am currently growing in my indoor garden. I am using a five gallon pot, which gives me about six or so radishes that will be fully mature and delicious. I chose these radishes specifically for salads and for my favourite, makes me feel so good inside, dish ramen. I just cannot find myself eating a bowl of ramen without radishes in it somehow. If there aren't any radishes in it, then I do not consider it a proper ramen.

Like I said these french radishes have been growing for twenty-one days and truly have shown their growth. I believe it will be the end of January when these guys will be fully mature and ready for me to make a little harvesting video with a recipe included!

Radishes can be one of the easiest starter plants to grow if you are a first timer wanting to grow your own food. These guys take little maintenance and require not that much water. I water mine every two days since they are in a controlled environment. I use the same soil mix is use for my tomatoes on my radishes. Just be careful about over-watering and letting the bulb of the radish unearth early! You can just cover it with extra soil to avoid this worry.

Well thanks again for following my grow-log. It's been fun sharing my plants with you fine people. Follow/subscribe for future updates and follow/subscribe on my various social media. I always follow back! Until next time...

Organic Indoor Herbs: End of Week 4

 Organic Indoor Herbs

It is completely ridiculous to walk into my indoor garden because with your first step in, all you smell are the fresh herbs I have been nurturing since they were seeds. And I would do the whole process over and over again, because it is incredible. I am currently going to expand my culinary herbs and tea herbs so I can teach and share my knowledge of these precious little plants. There are so many uses, culinary wise and medicinal wise, for these herbs to be used that it is truly mind boggling. There are countries and villages all over the world that still use natural medicine over today's pharmaceuticals.

Organic Indoor Herbs

Each and every herb I grow is extremely special to me because I first started tending an herb garden when I was an extremely young boy with my grandfather and uncles. So to me it is more than just a hobby it is a moment of time I love to enjoy with my loved ones, friend or family. It is an extremely useful thing, growing your own culinary herbs. I never find myself running to the market for the ever so forgotten cooking herbs that are always left once we rush out of the store.

Thank you guys for reading my grow-log and following it as well. It is always an amazing thing to share my passion for gardening with you, the world. Keep a look out for my future posts, I will be blogging like a mad-man soon enough! It's been awesome to share my thoughts and information with you good folk. Until next time....

Indoor Organic Tomatoes and Peppers: End of Week 4

Organic Indoor Peppers

These guys are just looking more crowded by the week! I really need to separate them and put each plant in its own cup so the roots can fully develop before I need to transplant them in my outdoor organic garden. It is always critical to choose amazing cultivars of whatever vegetable or fruit you are planning on growing. I chose these for the size and flavour each different plant has to offer me as its gardener. I always find myself looking for a little bit of heat for whatever I am usually eating, so I thought why not grow some jalapenos because they have a good heat and are a great addition to majority of dishes. That is one example of why we should all grow what we like to eat. It's extremely convenient and a huge money saver in the long run.

Organic Indoor Tomatoes

So on to my tomatoes, I chose these guys for diversity as well as for flavour. These guys are sure to pack a punch on any palette, this is my first time growing Blue Beauty tomatoes from Wild Boar Farms and all I have heard/read about it are amazing things. I cannot have a garden without any tomatoes thriving in it. It is just a taboo for me. I use tomatoes for a load of recipes which range for any time of the day. After I started growing tomatoes, I refused to eat any of the tomatoes that were sold at the markets. The difference in taste was undeniable. Fresh grown tomatoes are on a whole different level than the ones we see everyday. For this delicacy you truly need to grow your own tomatoes. I chose on growing the Roman tomatoes again just because I cannot get enough of them.

I hope you guys enjoyed this weeks update, stay tuned for my weekly updates. Until next time friends...

Indoor Organic Salad Greens: End of Week 4

Organic Eros Escarole
It's been quite a great week since my last post. All of my plants have been progressing at a really steady rate and my room just looks incredible. Even after that blasted cat thinking that my plants are just his personal all you can eat salad bar. That was the only setback I had this time around in my organic indoor garden. I am hoping these plants will be ready for harvest in another two weeks or so. That would be my ideal harvest period. Other than that these plants are looking extremely healthy!

 Organic Giant Caesar Lettuce
I did not want to waste the space and thin out the two other lettuce heads forming in this pot. I thought, "Why not let them grow and see how much I can get out of a fully mature harvest, maybe even enough for a salad for two!" So I am going to do just that, let them grow and see when it is harvest time if I have indeed grown a decent amount of greens in one little pot.

Organic Gourmet European Mesclun Salad Mix

These little guys were throwing me off for a little bit, literally over night these guys had a growth spurt. At first I thought my crop was not healthy and just going to curl up and die. But the latter happened, which I am extremely thankful for. These mesclun are just about ready to be harvested and I am definitely going to use the "cut and come again" method to see the reproduction rate on these specific cultivar.

I couldn't help myself, so I ripped off a piece of Giant Caesar Lettuce and started snacking whilst taking these photos for you guys to see. The leaf was so crunchy and it isn't even fully mature yet so I'm really excited to share that harvesting moment with you guys later on.

I thank you again for following/subscribing to my posts and my social media outlets, remember I always follow back! Be on the look out for future grow-posts and other media I put out. Until next time....

We Started Vlogging!

You guys should totally check out my fiancee and my newest YouTube channel, it's a vlogging channel. That is right! We are vlogging our everyday extraordinary lives and sharing it with you nice folks. I've always had the idea to film our day and post it to YouTube, but we are finally doing it!

We decided to go on a hike with one of our good friends. The plan was to hike close to Red Rock, which is a portion of Calico Basin. The first thirty minutes or so of the hike was completely uphill at a forty-five degree angle, and it was ridiculously rough. Once we reached the peak of our trail, the rest of the hike was a breeze. Every single step we took was exhilarating as if we were the first ones discovering the trail and making our mark in history. Each mountain and rock face was incredibly beautiful in its own way. At certain parts of the hike I felt like I needed to take off my shoes and just go barefoot the rest of the way because of not having any grip whatsoever on my nike high-tops.

Once we got back to the car we were all exhausted, but we also felt very accomplished and satisfied with our hike. This little adventure brought to me many hopes about people getting back into nature because it is just so damn breath-taking. I hope our video instills a little bit of adventure in you and courage to step out that door. Thanks again for reading and be sure to follow me for all of my future updates! Until next time....
